How we review copyright complaints, request supporting details, and handle counter notices for valid disputes.

Last updated: May 2026

Notice requirements

A valid notice should identify the copyrighted work, the affected URL or asset, the claimant, and a good-faith statement.

Review workflow

We review properly documented notices, verify the available facts, and may restrict access or request more detail before action.

Counter-notice path

If content was removed in error, the affected operator may submit a counter notice with the legally required statements and contact details.

Submitting a notice

Send notices with the copyrighted work description, specific URL or identifier, ownership details, contact information, and the declarations required under applicable law. Incomplete notices may be returned for clarification.

Assessment and response

We assess whether the complaint is sufficiently clear, whether the requested action maps to a TubeSoft-controlled surface, and whether temporary restrictions or additional evidence are needed before processing.

Counter notices

If an operator believes a takedown was incorrect, they may submit a counter notice containing the required legal statements, identity details, and consent to the relevant jurisdiction where applicable.

Repeat infringement and abuse

We may limit accounts, integrations, or support access for repeat infringers or for parties who repeatedly submit abusive, misleading, or bad-faith notices through our channels.
